Terms of use

These terms apply when you use Şifre. We kept them short. By using the app, and in particular by creating an account, you agree to them.
Who we are
Şifre is made by Somewise, an independent app studio run by Neslihan Emir. You can reach us at hello@somewise.io.
The app
Şifre is free. It has no ads and no in-app purchases. The daily vault, practice and duels against a bot or on the same phone work without an account. You need an account only for online play: online duels, rankings, leagues, the night tournament and friends.
Your account
- Online accounts are for people aged 13 and over.
- Use an email address that belongs to you, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One person, one account. Do not sell, share or transfer your account.
Fair play and respect
Other players see your username and display name, and you play against real people. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive players. You agree not to:
- Choose a username or display name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening or misleading, or that pretends to be someone else
- Harass, threaten or bully other players, including through duel invitations or friend requests
- Cheat: use bots, scripts or other tools to find codes, play with more than one account to gain an advantage, or exploit bugs
- Try to disrupt the game server, access other players' data, or copy the service
Reports and blocking
You can block or report any player from their profile. A player you block cannot find you in search or send you requests and invitations. We review every report and act on it as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours. You can also write to hello@somewise.io.
If the rules are broken
We may change an inappropriate username or display name, cancel match results gained by cheating, and suspend or permanently delete accounts that break these terms. For serious or repeated cases we may do this without warning. If you think we made a mistake, write to us and we will take another look.
Your names
The username and display name you choose are yours, and you are responsible for them. You allow us to show them to other players inside the app, for example on your profile, in duels and in rankings.
What belongs to us
The app, its design, code, sounds and texts belong to Somewise. We give you a personal, non-commercial right to use the app. If you downloaded it from the App Store, Apple's standard license agreement also applies; where these terms say something more specific, these terms apply.
Online features
We do our best to keep online play running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or end online features, and we may reset ratings and leagues, for example at the start of a new season. Everything you can do offline keeps working on your device.
Leaving
You can stop using Şifre at any time. To delete your account, go to Profile → Settings → Delete my account. What happens to your data is explained in the privacy policy.
Liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost progress or losses caused by other players. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer protection law.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the laws of the country you live in. If we change these terms, we update this page and its effective date. If the change is significant, we also let you know in the app.
